
BELONG@HEI has developed a visual identity that reflects the project’s mission: to strengthen belonging, wellbeing, and inclusion in higher education.
The brand was created to communicate the values at the heart of the project — inclusion, diversity, empowerment, co-creation, and institutional change. These values guide BELONG@HEI’s work with students, staff, higher education institutions, and stakeholders across Europe.
At the centre of the visual identity is the BELONG@HEI logo. Its overlapping shapes represent human connection, dialogue, and relationships, while the use of different colours reflects the diversity of identities, backgrounds, and experiences within academic communities. Together, the symbol expresses a shared space where every person can feel seen, valued, and included.
The project’s colour palette combines vibrant and soft tones to create a warm, open, and accessible visual language. These colours were chosen to support clarity and readability while expressing the energy and diversity of the communities BELONG@HEI aims to serve.
The brand also uses clear and modern typography to make project materials easy to read and accessible. This supports the project’s commitment to inclusive communication across all outputs, including the website, resources, training materials, and dissemination activities.
Through this visual identity, BELONG@HEI aims to present the project in a consistent and recognisable way while sharing its message of belonging with higher education communities across Europe.
